Google adds document editing to Gmail attachments in Workspace

Google is making it a lot easier to edit Microsoft Office documents sent as Gmail attachments. A new feature for Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite) allows users to edit documents directly from their inbox.

With the change, Microsoft Office attachments will have a new “edit” option. And when edits are complete, there will be a new option to share the document via email. Both changes should save some time by eliminating a few steps that were previously necessary.
